Giulia Russo Walti from Italy went for her first time volunteer experience to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:
My experience in Brazil, particularly in Rio de Janeiro, was a magnificent adventure. In a colorful city, with a lot of nature and so festive, I was able to try for the first time a volunteer experience.
Putting aside all the rumors that feel about crime in the Favelas I left and I could know a reality so different from that in Italy and yet with people so available, joyful and full of energy.
This experience has opened me to the world of volunteering, which unites people regardless of their age, culture and nationality, an experience that I wish in the life of anyone, who can teach a lot about others but also about ourselves.– Giulia Russo Walti from Rome, Italy
