Joseph Guzman chose to volunteer teaching children in India. With his joy and dedication he was a great and positive presence at the school class in Jaipur. We would like to thank Joey to travel the long way from the USA and really inspire the children. Great Work!
You will be teaching English at a CSR (Community school) in Jaipur, situated in the southern part of the city. Since the school is catering to children from an economically weak & marginalized area, quality English teaching with all other required amenities provided are a great advance for the young students. Our in country partners have supported the school with all the furniture, infrastructure & teaching materials like boards etc. There are around 54 students who are studying in 1st to 5th grades. As a volunteer you will teach the students the necessary things that will help them in developing their interpersonal skills. You will also help the local staff in daily operations of the school. The top-most requirement of the project is to develop the overall personality of the students by encouraging extracurricular activities, art & craft, group discussions, teaching & communication.
Enzo from France and Marsha from New York City enjoyed teaching children at Doreen’s Crèche in Cape Town South Africa. Both are teaching social development, maths, stories, counting and more. Marsha and Enzo had a lot of fun with the kids.
As a child care volunteer you will be teaching and caring for beautiful children at Doreen’s Crèche. The well-established day care centre at Masiphumelele Township, around 45 minutes from central Cape Town.
The crèche receives over 60 children aged 3-6 during the day while their parents work to earn a living. You will take care of these dynamic and energetic children, which requires a lot of work. But your love and dedication will be greatly appreciated.
During your stay at Cape Town, you also will learn about township life, culture, and history.
Visit our page with the Childcare Volunteer Project at Doreen’s Crèche and proceed with your application. You also can find more volunteer projects in South Africa here. You may also have a look at our page with all childcare abroad programs in many countries.

Eduarda traveled to a small village in the Peruvian Amazon and worked as a kindergarden teacher. Read her testimonial here, and find above the photo of Sangeetha Agara from Canada, who was working with children in Cusco!
I traveled by Iko Poran to Iquitos Peru on March of this year. I volunteered there for one week as assistant of kindergarden teacher in Padre Cocha, where it is an small Amazonian village.
This trip was an amazing experience for me .
The kids are lovely, I was completely imerge in the local culture, that way I practice a lot my Spanish. Also if you are looking for a place where you can rest, be in contact with the nature and learn more about the local, this trip will be perfect for you. Jenny and her family are excellent hosts. – Eduarda
Volunteer on child development in Peru working as a teaching assistant in a rural kindergarten.
In the teaching assistant projects you will be working as a part of PRONOEI. PRONOEI is a Peruvian government sponsored preschool initiative in the poorest areas of Peru, where mothers from within the community receive teacher training to work with a group of 30 children between 3 to 5 years old.
These community mothers, also called promotoras, have a huge challenge to keep their classes running, receiving very little support from the Peruvian state. They are nonetheless doing a formidable job, but that’s why receiving volunteers to assist in the classroom can be such a huge help.
You will be assisting them with classroom activities and playing with the children. The facilities in these PRONOEIs are limited to the most basic; they are often missing adequate restrooms, large enough classrooms, playground areas and teaching materials, but the children who attend them are so happy and thankful to be receiving an education that you will find the experience to be truly humbling. In your spare time you can explore the mysteries of this astounding place and get to know the real Peru.
You can choose between volutneer programs in Arequipa, Peru’s beautiful white-stone city shadowed by the famous El Misti Volcano; Cusco, the Inca capital and the archaeological capital of the Americas; and Iquitos, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon.
Volunteers in Iquitos will be located inside an Amazonian ethnic group located 15 minutes by boat from Iquitos city.
Volunteers must love children and have a positive and creative attitude to make the most of the limited resources available. You will gain valuable teaching experience, while helping to keep these educational projects going.
